Sagamore Hill

Even though I’m working on a completely different thriller, titled In the Red — totally unrelated to Baby Grand, which was the plan — I can’t keep from thinking about Baby Grand’s sequel. While visiting Sagamore Hill — a little birthday treat for myself on a clear, cold morning — my mind began to race about the setting possibilities. Sagamore Hill, on Long Island, was the home of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th president of the United States, from 1885 until his death in 1919. It’s a beautiful, charming place, probably made even more so by the blanket of snow that surrounded it as far as the eye could see.

  1. Sagamore Hill visits were always my favorite school trips while growing up on Long Island. I think I always had a thing for Teddy Roosevelt! lol
