I began my writing and editing career in the trades at Fairchild Publications, where I learned how to turn stories around quickly, had amazing mentors and was lucky enough to be given autonomy to develop my skills as a manager and creative thinker. In 1998, after the birth of my son (the first of three babies), I started a full-time freelance career, and, with a few exceptions that involved long nights spent with vomiting children, I haven’t looked back.
Thanks in large part to my years at Fairchild, I am dependable, deadline- and detail-oriented, and can handle a fast pace of multiple projects simultaneously. For 12 years, I have been working as a general-assignment freelancer and have written articles for a wide variety of consumer publications, including Newsday, Women’s Health & Fitness, First for Women and Pregnancy, as well as trade, niche and specialty magazines. I have interviewed many high-profile individuals, from CEOs to celebrities, including James Gandolfini, Tim McGraw, Angela Bassett, Mario Lopez, Gary Sinise, Kevin Bacon and Adam Carolla, among others.
At present, I am the executive editor of two lifestyle magazines for the military market, Family and Salute, which have readerships of 500,000 and 200,000, respectively. Recently, I served as the writer on the book Good Girls Don’t Get Fat by Dr. Robyn Silverman which was published by Harlequin Nonfiction in October 2010.
I recently completed my first novel, Baby Grand, which is represented by The Stonesong Press, LLC in New York.

Dear Dina,
I stumbled (delightfully) upon your bio while researching Dr. Robyn Silverman. Dr. Silverman is co-hosting a teleseminar with Rachel Simmons, an author for whom I managed book publicity, event planning and partnership development last summer/fall. You may already know about the seminar, but details can be found here:

I would love to hear more about your own upcoming novel, Baby Grand, and whether you might be interested in hearing more about my consulting services. I currently am working with another author, whose book release is set for June 2010. I am reaching out to other authors to share a bit about my publicity and partnership development services in light of the issues they write about in their books.
I would love to learn more about your work and share a bit about mine if you are interested!
All best,
Sara
Dina,
The good news is that your post made me want to read your novel-very impressive. I don’t doubt that your synopsis hit the spot.
Best wishes,
CY
